My Dream

Some people work for years to discover their dreams, but today mine fell SPLAT onto my head, sort of like an egg that had been broken in the sky after being laid by a drunken bird in mid-air.

Forget writing. My dream is to start a bakery.

It will a vegetarian bakery, specializing in cakes without meat. We will also have cupcakes without meat, brownies without meat, even milk without meat to go with them!

If things go well, I may add a meat-free ice cream bar on the side. We'll also offer meat-free lollipops for vegetarian children.

I've already done a sketch for our general advertising:

And some special advertising sketches for more niche markets:

  1. James just told me that this post is inspired by me, the love of his life. I feel so flattered. And slightly unnerved.

I have to remind myself that I chose this life. No one forced me into it.

  2. We actually saw a whole roasted pig today that looked remarkably like the sad pig in the above advertisement sketch.

    Again, this is a choice.

  3. My favorite part is how you've combined "Just say no," and "Friends don't let friends" into "Friends just say no." I once ruined an FHE activity by accidentally combining "birds of a feather flock together" and "two peas in a pod".... into "two birds of a feather." Apparently nobody could guess that phrase.

I think you should bake German bread. I'm sure it would be a hit!

  6. This post should be re-titled "Strange Dreams Part Three"

  7. You know in India in the ice cream shops, they always labeled which ones were vegetarian. That kind of made me frightened of the other ones.
