Afterthought

The song I currently wish I had stuck in my head is "Harem of One" by Perpetually Confused, a classic tribute to passionate monogamy.

  1. The version of "Harem of One" that keeps going through my head is the ode Sharaz Afendi, the ethnically and ethically ambiguous hero, sings about his beloved Barpoof the Viking Maiden at the most heart-wrenching moment of the film. The lovers have been separated and Sharaz is sent back to his homeland and kingdom. As so many beautiful women beckon him forth, he longs for his one and only true love. Disney films sure have changed since the 1950s.

  3. And there's actually a song which meets this description, by my favorite Hasidic Reggae artist, and sort-of namesake, Matisyahu, called "Unique is My Dove"
